Traditional panna cotta originates from Italy. This orange and vanilla flavored dessert is light and refreshing; perfect for any holiday table.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup sugar
1 (.25 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
2 1/2 cups LACTAID® Whole Milk
2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur (see note)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Scented geranium or mint leaves (optional)
- In a medium saucepan stir together the sugar and gelatin. Add LACTAID® Whole Milk. Heat and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in orange liqueur or extract and vanilla. Pour into 6 individual ramekins or molds that hold at least 4 ounces. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours or until set.
- To serve, unmold, if desired. To unmold, immerse bottom half of ramekin or mold in hot water for 15 to 20 seconds. Run a clean small knife around edge to loosen. Invert onto dessert plate. Garnish with scented geranium or mint leaves, if desired.
