3 tablespoons unsalted margarine
1 tablespoon minced onion
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
White pepper to taste
LACTAID® Fat-Free Lactose-Free Milk
- Melt margarine over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, but not browned, about 3 minutes.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 3 minutes on medium heat, whisking until flour is absorbed.
- Add LACTAID® Fat-Free Lactose-Free Milk and whisk constantly until the mixture is thick and smooth, about 10 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and white pepper.
