- In a 2 ½-quart saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté onions until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Whisk in flour, salt, Italian seasoning and pepper. Cook until flour is absorbed, about 2-5 minutes.
- Slowly add LACTAID® Fat-Free Lactose-Free Milk and tomatoes, stirring constantly, heat just to boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- If desired, blend smooth using either an immersion blender or an electric blender.
- Serve warm.
