Rich Mexican Hot Chocolate
Put your feet up and relax with a mug of extra-rich hot chocolate gently spiced with cinnamon.
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
Frozen whipped nondairy dessert topping, thawed
LACTAID® Lactose-Free Whole Milk
- In a large saucepan, combine 1 cup of the LACTAID® Lactose-Free Whole Milk, chocolate pieces, and cinnamon. Cook and whisk over medium-low heat until chocolate is melted.
- Gradually stir in remaining LACTAID® Lactose-Free Whole Milk. Cook and whisk until heated through. (Do not boil.)
- Stir in vanilla. Beat with a rotary beater or immersion blender until very frothy. Pour hot chocolate into mugs and dollop with whipped topping.
