Does it even work?!

Review Questions:
State: Iowa
Age: 35-44
Review Text:
I have taken the original Lactaid for the past several years and it works great! The few times I’ve tried to take the Fast Acting (convenient to-go packs) it has not worked at all. It almost seems as though my normal lactose intolerance symptoms have been worsened. Going back the the original - how about making on-the-go packages of those?!

I highly recommend Lactaid Caplets!

Review Questions:
State: Florida
Age: 55-65
Review Text:
I have taken Lactaid Caplets for nearly 20 years with all dairy products that I eat. I never have negative reactions to the Lactaid nor the dairy products. When I forget to carry Lactaid with me and stop by a fast food restaurant for a milkshake, by the time I get home, I get an upset stomach and/or diarrhea. I eat ice cream nightly and always take my Lactaid so I can enjoy it without worrying about getting a negative reaction. We have bought 2 boxes of 98 Lactaid Caplets monthly for many years. I do not plan to ever be without them in the future. I highly recommend Lactaid Caplets to my family, friends and anyone who have digestive issues with dairy products.

30 year old Caucasian female severe GERD sufferer

Review Questions:
State: Florida
Age: 25-34
Review Text:
The original tablets work but the fast act doesn’t. The fast act gave me an upset stomach for about 15 mind, but did not work. When I’m out of my lactaid original tablets, I usually take Activated charcoal tablets because they don’t constipate you and it gets rid of gas/bloating, it helps people with tummy issues and gerd. I was diagnosed lactose intolerant in elementary school and have to use lactose free milk. A couple years ago, I had my gallbladder removed and now get severe acid reflux aka GERD as a result of said surgery. I use omeprazole 20.6mg from CVS, 250mg to 500mg chelated magnesium to counter the constipation effects of omeprazole. Now I find out the fast act stops diarrhea,” not all lactose intolerant people have diarrhea,” I have severe IBS-Constipation and lactose makes it worse. Will taking fact act or lactaid original tablets make my constipation worse. I do not know if it nulls the effects of omeprazole as another person with GERD stated, please clarify. Signed, pretty miserable

Great product

I have been taking Lactaid for about a year now. I take one if I am only consuming a small amount of dairy like butter on toast. If I am having pizza I will take 2. It only lasts for about 1/2 hour so be careful and make sure to take another if you are having another slice. My only concern is that can my digestive system become immune to this product? If anyone can answer that, please do.

Wipes out benefit of PPI for GERD

Review Questions:
State: Massachusetts
Age: Over 65
Review Text:
Have had Gastro-esophageal reflux for years and currently taking Dexilant, a PPI, for it. Recently diagnosed with lactose intolerance. Tried Lactaid Fast Act. While it took care of the lactose intolerance, it completely wiped out the benefit of the Dexilant. Is this a known interaction of Lactaid Fast Act? Is it due to an inactive ingredient? If so, is the same interaction expected with your Lactaid "Original"? Any suggestions for what I should try? Where can I get more specific info?

A life-changing date

Review Questions:
State: Arizona
Age: 35-44
Review Text:
I was out to eat with a cute guy at a diner. He suggested we share a milkshake, which seemed romantic - except, for me, milkshakes were stomach assassins. I didn't know why, so I had simply avoided them. Now, though, I was confronted with my digestive nemesis. "I can't drink them," I confessed. "They make me feel awful." "Maybe you're lactose intolerant," he said. He slid a small white packet across the table. "Try this." I glanced at the Lactaid label and looked at him to make sure he took a tablet first. After seeing it was safe, I opened the packet and placed the tablet in my mouth. Half an hour later, the milkshake was gone, and my stomach had no complaints. I bought a box and have had a pleasant journey through countless dairy escapades since. As for the guy? We've been married 10 years now.

Need to Make Fast Act in Pill Bottle

Review Questions:
State: Wisconsin
Age: 18-24
Review Text:
While I'd like to give this 5 stars, it's really unfortunate that they don't offer the Fast Act variety in a bottle. The individually wrapped caplets are such a waste and a pain. I will actually spend more money on other brands just for the convenience of the bottle instead of the wrapped caplets.
