Challah French Toast A La Mode with Berries

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. In a large shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, Lactaid, zest, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Soak as many slices in the egg mixture as possible for 5 minutes, turning once. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the soaked bread and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Place the cooked French toast on a sheet pan and keep it warm in oven. Finish the remaining soaked bread slices, adding more oil to pan as needed. Arrange warm French toast on 4 serving plates. Top each with 1/2 cup scoop Lactaid Vanilla Ice Cream. Arrange berries on French toast and drizzle with maple syrup
