2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
6 medium onions, thinly sliced
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups low-sodium chicken stock
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup finely cut green onions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil in a frypan, and saute onions for about 3 minutes. Set aside.
- In a soup pot, heat 1 tablespoon canola oil, add flour and whisk together. Add LACTAID® Fat Free Milk, chicken stock, sauteed onions, salt and pepper and cook 15 minutes. Add green onions, stir to blend and serve.
